Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with product selection, color matching, paint tinting and order processing. Support management and co-workers in day-to-day operation of the store. Maintain store appearance and organization, bringing a pleasant manner to the job and contributing to a professional and safe workplace. Full physical mobility is required for this position.
Responsibilities – Customer Service, Operations, and Logistics:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in identifying their paint product needs.
- Answer customer inquiries in person and by phone, resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide product suggestions based on customer and project requirements, preferences, and budget.
- Mix and tint paint using formulated colors and the color matching system according to company specifications. Record data in customer color history files.
- Educate customers on paint application techniques and product usage.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, process sales, product, inventory & pricing inquiries.
- Keep the store organized, clean, tidy, and inviting.
- Cooperate with team members to achieve service and sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and store promotions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, safety guidelines and inventory management protocols.
- Keep secure and protect company and corporate inventory and assets. (Product, equipment, cash/funds)
- Inventory control; aisle, slotting and routine cycle counts
- Shipping and receiving; unload and put away freight, stock shelves, rotate inventory, organize merchandise, prepare shipments as directed.
- Operate equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, load and unload vehicles in a safe manner.
- Adhere to workplace safety and health rules. Promptly report injuries, hazards, incidents or concerns.
- Proper use and maintenance of company provided PPE (personal protection equipment)
- For delivery driver portion duties, safely and lawfully operate the company vehicle so travel time and distance is optimal. Ensure load is properly secured, complete vehicle pre-trip check.

- Driving: Ability to legally drive for business is an essential job function. Maintain an MVR, which is consistent with company’s safe-driving guidelines. Possess an active, unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
- Basic oral communication: Fully conversant (speaking, listening), fluent in English.
- Reading and writing skills: Basic skill in reading and writing documents in standard English text
- Mathematical skills: Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Understanding measures and weights. Money computation, making accurate change.
- Computer/POS: Basic skills required. Familiar with internet navigation, emails, online training, Windows/Office, POS, etc.
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
| The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a commercial store, sales floor environment. The job is performed while standing with regular walking and the lifting and carrying of various paint containers and related items. The surfaces are hard, flat cement floors.
Full-physical mobility is required for the performance of every store position. Employees are required to use provided PPE, lift and movement assist methods and equipment to reduce the risk of injury. Machine, Tools, Equipment, PPE used: POS/computer system, tint machine, shaker, forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, hand tools, ladders, box cutter, phone, scanner, and required PPE, i.e. gloves, respirator, safety glasses. |
