A shark’s skin is made of a matrix of tiny, tooth-like scales that act as armor and provide the shark with the lowest friction so it can glide through the water with the highest efficiency. As an inspiration for the creation of the ‘ultimate’ in deck stains, Rodda Paint looked to this skin structure to develop its unique SharkSkin formula, which cross-links a 100% Acrylic Resin providing protection from weather and UV rays, with Urethane for toughness and water-resistance, and the wood-friendly characteristics of Linseed Oil that penetrates and ‘anchors’ the stain into the pores of the wood.
