| Basic Use | A quick drying lead and chromate free, rust inhibitive primer formulated for priming both interior and exterior iron and steel. A valuable maintenance primer because of its ability to replace a multitude of primers usually required to insure compatibility with various topcoats. P-80 has good weathering characteristics to protect metal in storage, transit or during erection. Also exhibits excellent weldable properties. |

Prep & Prime
Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants such as wax, oils, grease, weld splatter, loose mil, scale, rust. As a minimum SSPC-SPC Hand Tool Cleaning or SSPC-SPC3 Machine Tool Cleaning is recommended for interior exposure. Smooth surfaces should be abraded to enhance adhesion. Improved performance can be achieved with and SSPC-SPC6 Commercial Blast. All surfaces prepared for painting should be coated within 8 hours of completion of surface prep.

Application
Apply when substrate temperature is 50 F or above and expected to remain above 50 F for a minimum of 24 hours. Do not apply out doors if rain or dew is expected within 24 hours of completion.
