Prep & Prime
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as wax, oils, grease, weld splatter, or loose mil/scale/rust. As a minimum, SSPC-SPC Hand Tool Cleaning or SSPC-SPC3 Machine Tool Cleaning is recommended. Smooth surfaces should be abraded to enhance adhesion. Improved performance can be achieved with SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast. All surfaces prepared for painting should be coated within 8 hours of completion of surface prep.

| Concrete Block | Prime and fill with 501901x Sprayable Block Filler. |
| Masonry | Masonry surfaces to be painted must be thoroughy cured, clean, and dry prior to painting. Priming is also recommended with Rodda.501601x First Coat Primer or 505901x Multi Prime. When repainting masonry, care must be taken to insure the surface to be painted is clean and sound. |
| Metal | Self-Priming. All rust, mill scale, dirt and other foreign material must be removed prior to painting. In corrosive environments prime with 708195x All Purpose Rust Inhibitive Primer, 708095 Barrier III or 708295 Barrier III HS Red Oxide Primer. |
| |
