Basic UseThis aluminum paint is a ready mixed type for use on interior or exterior metal or wood surfaces. It is a brilliant aluminum with a medium gloss. Gives a long lasting durable protective coating. Recommended for exterior steel tanks, structural steel etc., where an aluminum finish is desired. Also, galvanized surfaces properly primed.

Prep & Prime
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as wax, oils, grease, weld splatter, or loose mil/scale/rust. As a minimum, SSPC-SPC Hand Tool Cleaning or SSPC-SPC3 Machine Tool Cleaning is recommended. Smooth surfaces should be abraded to enhance adhesion. Improved performance can be achieved with SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast. All surfaces prepared for painting should be coated within 8 hours of completion of surface prep.
MasonryRemove any loose material from surface. Prime bare areas with 501601x First Coat Primer
MetalClean and remove rust and mill scale. Prime with suitable metal primer, such as 7082XXX High Solids Barrier III Primer or 708195x All Purpose Metal Primer
WoodRecommend as primer for wood
Application
Do not apply when air surface temperatures are expected to drop below 50 degrees F. or rise above 95 degrees during application and drying.
BrushUse a natural bristle brush.
Roller / PadUe 1/4" to 1/2" nap synthetic or lambswool roller cover. Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayRecommended pressure 2000 to 2500 psi; using .013 to .016 tip orifice.
Conventional SprayRecommended air pressure 40-60 psi; fluid pressure 20 psi; JGA 510 gun, FX tip, 705 air cap.
