Basic UsePorsalite is a premium quality enamel that features excellent brushing properties and flows to a smooth durable rich finish. Porsalite is designed to exhibit excellent hiding properties. May be used on primed or previously painted plaster, as well as metal trim, door, sash and cabinets.

Prep & Prime
Surfaces to be coated must be free of dirt, oil, mildew, excessive chalk and other foreign matter. Remove loose paint and patch holes or cracks. Prime bare surfaces, dull or prime glossy surfaces, and then scuff sand using 80 to 100 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust. Do not apply over unprimed metal.
Concrete BlockFill with 501901x sprayable Smooth Block Filler.
MasonryPrime with 501801x Surfbond II or 505901x Multi Prime.
MetalGALVANIZED: Clean thoroughly. Prime with 709700x Vinyl Wash Primer. ALUMINUM: Hand clean areas that exhibit white corrosion. NEW ALUMINUM: Surfaces must be properly treated. FERROUS METAL: Prime with 7082xxx Barrier III High Solids Metal Primer or 708195x All Purpose Rust Inhibitive Primer.
WallboardPrime with 507801x Scotseal.
WoodNew Interior: Prime with 502001x Unique II 100% Acrylic Enamel Undercoater, 703401x VariSeal or 702901x Speed Primer. New Exterior: Prime with 501601x First Coat or 701501x Exterior Control Primer.
Application
Do not apply when air surface temperatures are expected to drop below 50 Deg. F. or rise above 95 Deg. F. during application and drying. Please see above for expected dry times.
BrushUse a natural bristle brush
Roller / PadUse 1/4" to 1/2" nap synthetic or lambswool roller cover.-Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayRecommend pressure 2000 to 2500 psi, using .013 to .016 tip orifice.
Conventional SprayRecommend air pressure 40 - 60 psi; fluid pressure 20 psi; JGA 510 gun, FX tip, 705 air cap.
