Basic UseAn alkyd oil based stain; richly pigmented with high quality pigments to provide good hiding power, similar to that of paint, but allowing the natural texture of the wood to remain visible while leaving a durable film to preserve and protect the wood. Designed for use on all new or previously painted siding, sidewall shakes or fences. (NOTE: Not recommended on decks - use only semi-transparent).

Prep & Prime
Surfaces to be coated must be free of dirt, oil, mildew, excessive chalk and other foreign matter. Remove loose paint and patch holes or cracks. Prime bare surfaces, dull or prime glossy surfaces, and then scuff sand using 80 to 100 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust.
MetalMay be used over properly prepared metal surfaces.
WoodNo special surface preparation required on new wood. All surfaces to be coated must be clean and dry. Not recommended on brushed, burnished or abraded plywood.
Application
BrushA natural bristle or good quality nylon/polyester brush is recommended
Roller / PadUsing 1/2" to 3/4" lambswool or polyester cover will give best results-Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayUse equipment capable of maintaining constant 900 psi at the tip. .016" ti .025" tip orifice. Follow with backroll/backbrush application.
Conventional SprayUse double regulated pressure pot equipped with an air agitator. Use DeBilbiss JGA510 with FF tip and 704 air cap. Follow with backroll/backbrush application.
