Basic UseA 100% acrylic latex paint in a soft satin sheen. Giving the beauty of satin to any outside paint job. A very forgiving finish that helps hide imperfections in the surface, yet provides a highly washable film that keeps a fresh painted look. AC products will extend the paint season by allowing application down to an air and surface temperature of 35º F/1º C in dry conditions and contain ingredients that resist the growth of mold & mildew on the surface of the film. Carries a 30 year limited warranty.

Prep & Prime
Surfaces to be coated must be free of dirt, oil, mildew, excessive chalk and other foreign matter. Remove loose paint and patch holes or cracks. Prime bare surfaces, dull or prime glossy surfaces and then scuff sand using 80 to 100 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust. Do not apply over unprimed metal.
New cementitious substrates may have high pH levels and should be tested before coating. If pH is above 8, prime with Rodda's First Coat primer.
Concrete BlockNew Interior and Exterior: Should be filled with No. 501901x Sprayable Block Filler prior to painting for optimum moisture resistance.
MasonryPrime with 501801x Surfbond II, Rodda Paint's First Coat primer or 512301x pHlex-tite . Should be well cured and thoroughly clean before painting.
MetalPrime with 508901x Metal Master Primer.
WoodNew wood should be primed with Rodda's 501601x First Coat prior to AC-909 finish coat. Surfaces to be repainted should be thoroughly clean prior to painting.
Application
Avoid application to surfaces exposed and heated from direct sunlight. Before painting, make sure air, surface and paint temperature are above 35º F. Do not paint if rain, snow or freezing temperatures are expected within 24 hours. Avoid application to surfaces exposed and heated from direct sunlight.
BrushA nylon/polyester brush is recommended for this project.
Roller / PadUse 3/8" to 3/4" nap synthetic roller cover.-Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayRecommend pressure 2000 to 2500 psi, using .015 to .21 tip orifice.
HVLPReduce up to one pint per gallon with water. Accuspray 24K
Conventional SprayReduce up to one pint per gallon with water. Recommended air pressure 40-60 psi; fluid pressure 20 psi; tip size .0042" to .0045" with matching cap.
