Basic UseAC-Extreme is a special 100% acrylic latex, designed to be applied at temperatures below that of conventional exterior latex. Recommended for both new and previously painted wood, composition board, aluminum and vinyl siding, properly aged and prepared concrete, and primed metal. AC-Extreme will extend the painting season by allowing application down to a low air and surface temperature of 35º Fahrenheit (1º C) in dry conditions.

Prep & Prime
Surfaces to be coated must be free of dirt, oil, mildew, excessive chalk and other foreign matter. Remove loose paint and patch holes or cracks. Prime bare surfaces, dull or prime glossy surfaces, and then scuff sand using 80 to 100 grit sandpaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust.
Concrete BlockNew Interior and Exterior, Above 50 F: Prime and fill with 501901x Sprayable Block Filler.
MasonryAbove 50 F: Rodda Surf Bond II
MetalNot designed for metal, but performs quite satisfactorily on properly primed ferrous metal and clean galvanized metal, such as gutters and down spouts.
WoodAbove 50 F: First Coat Latex Primer (blocks tannin bleed)
Below 50 F: Multi-Prime Latex Primer (Does not block tannin bleed)
Application
Before painting, make sure air, surface and paint temperature are above 35 degrees F. Do not paint if rain or snow or freezing temperatures are expected within 24 hours. Do not apply if temperature is above 95 degrees F.
BrushA nylon/polyester brush is recommended for this project.
Roller / PadUse 3/8" to 3/4" nap synthetic roller cover.-Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayRecommend pressure 2000 to 2500 psi, using .015 to .21 tip.
HVLPReduce up to one pint per gallon with water. Accuspray 24K
Conventional SprayReduce up to one pint per gallon with water. Recommended air pressure 40-60 psi; fluid pressure 20 psi; tip size .0042" to .0045" with matching cap.
