Basic Use A water reducible corrosion resistant coating for priming all exterior or interior ferrous metal surfaces such as structural steel, bridges, tanks, towers, piping, sash and trim metal doors and frames, ornamental iron, gutters & misc metal objects. It is flash rust resistant and possesses the rust-resistant and film forming properties typically associated with standard solvent-borne type primers. Metal Master resists attack by many caustic solutions, light industrial fumes and chemicals. Has excellent adhesion and the fast dry capabilities of a dryfall finish.

Prep & Prime
*All substrates must be clean & dry prior to application* Remove all rust, dirt, grease, cutting oil, & all other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating per SSPC SP1. Smooth shiny surfaces should be abraded by sanding or blasting to improve adhesion of the coating to the substrate, suggest SSPC-SP10 on steel. Apply test patch & allow to dry one week before testing to ensure proper adhesion.
Masonry Not recommended, but can be used satisfactorily
Metal Galvanized: Can be applied directly to clean metal surfaces.
Ferrous: Can be applied directly to clean metal surfaces.
Aluminum: Prime with 71007 ClovaBond
Wood Not recommended
Application
Do not expose freshly painted surfaces to atmospheric conditions until film is thoroughly cured. To ensure adhesion qualities, do a test patch on surface and allow to dry for one week prior to testing.
Coats 2 coats recommended with a dry film thickness of 2.5 mils
Brush Use a good quality synthetic bristle brush
Airless Spray Use with .011 to .013 tip or conventional air atomizing gun
