Basic UseDesigned for use as a masonry conditioner to enhance adhesion and efflorescence resistance of topcoat(s) over smooth, porous, fresh and weathered masonry. When properly applied Surfbond II is suitable for use on substrates with a pH from 6.0 to 13.0. Do not over apply, this product is meant as a 'guide coat' only.

Prep & Prime
Surfaces to be coated must be free of dirt, oil, mildew, excessive chalk and other foreign matter. Remove loose paint and patch holes or cracks. Prime bare surfaces, dull or prime glossy surfaces, and then scuff sand using 80 to 100 grit sandpdaper on a hand sander. Remove all sanding dust.
MasonrySurface to be coated should be clean and dry. Surface must be free of all dirt, grease, efflorescence form treatments, curing compounds and laitance. New concrete should be allowed to cure. On high pH substrates a test patch is recommended.
Application
Do not apply when air or surface temperatures are expected to drop below 50 Deg. F. or rise above 95 Deg F. during application and drying. Please see expected dry times.
BrushA nylon/polyester brush is recommended for this project.
Roller / PadUse 1/4" to 3/8" nap synthetic or lambswool roller cover. Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayRecommended pressure 2000 to 2500 psi, using .015 to .021 tip orifice.
HVLPReduce up to one pint per gallon with water. Accuspray 24K.
Conventional SprayReduce up to one pint per gallon with water. Recommended air pressure 40-60 psi; fluid pressure 20 psi; tip size .0042" to .0045" with matching cap.
