Ext. Solvent Based Solid Hide Stain

DescriptionAn alkyd oil based stain; richly pigmented with high quality pigments to provide good hiding power, similar to that of paint, but allowing the natural texture of the wood to remain visible while leaving a durable film to preserve and protect the wood.
Basic UseDesigned for use on all new or previously painted siding, sidewall shakes or fences. (NOTE: not recommended on decks- use only semi-transparent. Approved by the Master Painter Institute under category #14.

Prep & Prime
WoodNo special surface preparation required on new wood. All surfaces to be coated must be clean and dry. Not recommended on brushed, burnished, or abraded plywood.
Application
BrushA natural bristle brush or good quality nylon/polyester is recommended.
Roller / PadUsing 1/2" to 3/4" lambswool or polyester cover will give best results.-Use a synthetic pad.
Airless SprayUse equipment capable of maintaining constant 900 psi at the tip, .016" to .025" tip orifice. Follow with backroll/backbrush application.
Conventional SprayUse double regulated pressure pot equiped with an air agitator. Use DeVilbiss JGA510 with FF tip and 704 air cap. Follow with backroll/backbrush application.
